Career Opportunities within Chevron Stations, Incorporated

CSI has 630 stores in the network, and that number will increase to about 750 facilities over the next few years. CSI's employment composition includes 135 administrative employees, 600 Store Managers and 4,200 hourly employees. CSI operates facilities of all varieties: Full Service Fueling (in Oregon); Car Washes and Retail Convenience Stores of all sizes.

There are three levels of store manager: Kiosk Manager, Store Manager, and Senior Manager. A Senior Manager might also be a business process trainer, a new employee trainer, a multi-store manager, or a co-brand manager (in a Chevron-McDonald's facility). Store Managers are salaried employees of Chevron Stations, Incorporated.

Qualified Store Managers are eligible for promotion to the Territory Manager assignment (a Chevron Products Company position), as well as other positions in addition to the Territory Manager job. Beyond the Territory Manager job are positions as Area Managers, Retail Managers and numerous other specialty assignments such as those at Chevron University and other Headquarters support groups.

CSI salaried employees are also eligible to post as internal candidates for positions in Chevron Products Company Marketing Group (with their supervisor's approval).

The planned growth of CSI over the next several years will require many promotable individuals to fill the Senior Manager, Territory Manager and other assignments, as those individuals move up in the organization.

Promotion is, of course, dependent upon performance and job openings, but suffice to say there will always be significant opportunity for advancement for the talented, hard-working Store Manager who exceeds the company's standards of performance.
